Waste collection and recycling in Greatham is every Tuesday with collections alternating between general waste (GREEN bins) and recycled waste (GREY bins). A gardening waste (BROWN bin) service is available monthly from spring to autumn. There is an extra charge for this service – apply to Hartlepool Borough Council.
Please note that bank holiday Mondays DO NOT affect refuse and recycling collections. The Borough Council operates a Tuesday-Friday collection regime each week, so bank holiday Mondays will have no effect and it will be business as usual for the rest of the week.
