Details about the Design Statement
The Village Design Statement provides advice and guidance on the design, development and alteration of buildings and the environment within Greatham.
It was put together by a small group of Greatham residents following guidelines supplied by the the Countryside Agency. The project lasted more than twelve months and included two stages of consultation with the whole village to ensure that the views expressed in the document are as representative as possible. It has been adopted by Hartlepool Borough Council as supplementary planning guidance.
