Dance Exercise Group
Meeting each week in the Community Centre on Friday 10.30am until 1pm
We have a warm up session followed by learning small sections of dance, which we put together (gradually) to form a dance routine. We finish with a cool down/stretch.
We have a really good workout - DANCE IS EXERCISE!
We round the morning off over a cup of tea/coffee whilst we arrange our Social Calendar - an outing' a luncheon, a visit to Sunderland Empire or even a trip out to York/Harrogate.
Last year we introduced a Ceilidh to help with fund raising for the maintenance and repair of the Village Hall. We had a really successful evening and raised £700.
The ladies really enjoy their class, they rise to the challenge each week and find that their confidence, posture, co-ordination, strength, flexibility, cardio vascular ability - not to
mention how much the "little grey cells" are put to the test!
You will see from the photograph that we are a small group, very friendly, and would welcome new members. The ladies are not trained dancers, some are very new to the scene.
